Christmas Makeup

Christmas is just around the corner and you are trying to figure out what makeup look will the day

When meeting his family for the first time, and he’s invited you to Christmas dinner, you want to of course impress, but at the same time, you don’t want your makeup to outshine the moment.

If you don't wear makeup and want to go bare, that is fine and beautiful too! Maybe you can pick up some pointers here below:

Depending on your outfit for that day, you will want to choose a natural neutral look. I would recommend light makeup, blush, powder, eyeliner, and mascara, if you choose to wear lashes, you would want a natural pair. and a matte neutral, brown, or soft rust colour lip. (Daytime) If you are attending a family gathering, at (evening or night). I would recommend a pop of colour to the lips and keeping the eyes neutral.

I will always recommend a matte lip colour that has minimum transfer, you will be eating or drinking water, the less transfer the better.

Huda Beauty has a matte lipstick called the Power Bullet Matte Lipstick, that is pigmented and the colour is popping! The website has an arrangement of colours that will go with any look. I love a bold lip and a neutral eye! The colour I would go for if you love colour is the Ladies Night it is a bold burgundy and warm-toned colour that fits with the night. It’s attractive on any skin tone.

Mac has a power-soft Matt lip colour called Sultry Move! This lippie that can go with any skin tone, pair it with lip liner you are good to go!

If you want to add a little definition you can use a deeper lip pencil with this lip colour.

ColorPop has great lip pencils that are under 10 dollars I highly recommend them. I've been purchasing with them since 2014. Try them out from Matte lips sticks, and lip pencils to eyeshadows.

Lastly, for the lips would recommend using a chapstick or lip balm or your choice, to ensure your lips are nice and moist. When wearing a Matt Lip I would not recommend using anything if you do wipe it off before applying your lipstick.

I would also recommend exfoliating your lips before using any lipstick. we are now in a season that it’s cold, and we want those lips soft. Exfoliating is key! To exfoliate use honey and a sugar mixture. Very simple and easy.

Next, for the eyes if you have an eyeliner of your choice that you love, or if you are new to wearing makeup, Too faced better than sex liquid eyeliner is a great option for you.

TOO FACED

EASY GLIDE WATERPROOF LIQUID EYELINER

Wet n Wild has an oldie but goodie eyeliner, which I started in the beginning, is their H20 Proof Liquid Liner that can be picked up at any store that sells Wet and Wild products.

I know that maybe some of you are on a budget...this is the one for you.

To add that added pop to the eyes is wearing mascara. Waterproofing is recommended! You never know what will happen at that family gathering!

Mascara can set the look off and add just enough for that neutral natural look. Too faced has great mascara and is waterproof!

TOO FACED

Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara

WATERPROOF MASCARA

Maybelline New York also has a waterproof called Lash Sensational. You can pick it up at any store that sells this brand.

MAYBELLINE

LASH SENSATIONAL®WATERPROOF MASCARA

$11.99 MSRP

If you want to add that extra flare to the eye, I would recommend a natural eyelash that is not heavy but also add a nice appeal to the eye. A wispy lash will be fine.

Finally, if you are allergic to any product or have sensitivity to any of them, stop immediately.
